Several advantages of PC are good strength  toughness, good-looking  flame retardant. There is nothing to say about the high strength of engineering plastics. Because of the poor crystallinity, the transparency of PC is very high, which is about 89-90%. It can be referred that PMMA with good transmittance is 92-93% (of course, these two  three percentages determine many industries). Because PMMA is  scratch resistant, many fields with requirements of Optics  strength need PC to appear. PC plastic coloring performance is also very good, masterbatch processing color paste is  easy to migrate, so the color of colored PC is saturated  uniform, plus the surface is smooth, so when the same colored plastic, PC is much better than HDPE, PVC  so on. Poor flame retardant performance is a big shortage of plastic applications, PC in this respect is also OK, out of fire. The disadvantage is that the processing temperature is too high, the energy consumption is high,  the hydrolysis resistance is poor.
